3. Voting & Election Procedures

How can I vote?

You have to be 14 years of age and you will have to be registered and admitted as a member of the FSE. Also, the weight your vote depend on your status: are you an individual member, do you represent a local fan group or initiative, or a national/pan-European fan organisation?

>> Individual members

Your vote is restricted to one vote. You vote with a white voting card, which you will also use for the election – simply highlight the names of your preferred candidates on the card and put it in the white ballot box.

>> Locally active fans’ groups/fans’ initiatives

Formally or informally organised groups or initiatives active on local level should be represented by an appointed delegate for FSE at the BGM. The group’s vote is restricted to three votes. Local groups vote with a yellow voting card, which they will also use for the election – simply highlight the names of your preferred candidates on the card and put it in the yellow ballot box.

>> Fans’ groups/fans’ organisations active at national / pan-European level

Formally and informally organised groups and initiatives active on national or pan-European level should be represented by an appointed delegate for FSE at the BGM. The group’s vote is restricted to ten votes. National/pan-European groups vote with a red voting card, which they will also use for the election – simply highlight the names of your preferred candidates on the card and put it in the red ballot box.

PLEASE NOTE: Appointed delegates of locally active members and national/pan-European members of FSE can represent only one local member and one national/pan-European member at maximum and vote on behalf of them at the BGM of FSE.

I want to stand for elections! How do I do it?

That’s easy! You have to be 18 years of age and be registered and admitted as a member first before you register as a candidate!

You can register as a candidate via sending an email to info@footballsupporterseurope.org with an informal statement and your FSE membership number OR notify the FSE Coordinator directly at the European Football Fans’ Congress (EFFC) of your candidacy and produce your FSE membership card with the sticker of the current year on.

All candidates have to present themselves with 5 min speeches at the BGM of FSE.

Please also take a look at the membership section and at the EFFC section on our website for further info.
